Anita Katz, MN, PMHNP

Anita Katz is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who has been practicing since 2002 and focuses on the promotion of mental health for both adolescents and adults. Anita works in partnership with her clients to provide care for the whole individual using nursing science and psychological theory to understand how mental health affects overall health. Anita's role as PMHNP provides her prescriptive authority allowing initial evaluation and treatment, including therapy and medication management. Anita has been a volunteer member of the Oregon Disaster Medical Team (ODMT) since 2000 and has been on Oregon's federal disaster team, National Disaster Medical System (NDMS), since 1998.

Anita is an alumnus of Oregon Health and Science University School of Nursing.

Otis, Canine Therapist, AAT
Otis began training to be a therapy dog at seven weeks of age. He was certified at one year old through the Delta Society as a pet partner with his human companion Anita and is dedicated to improving human health through his therapeutic and service role. Otis also volunteers as a member of Oregon Disaster Medical Team (ODMT) and National Disaster Medical System (NDMS).

Otis has been working along side Anita since 2003 and is loved by clients of all ages. In his spare time he enjoys eating treats and sleeping.

Muddy, Canine Therapist
Muddy is a new addition to the practice of Therapy Gone to the Dogs. He started his training in early 2010 alongside his mentor, Otis. Muddy brings a light, playful energy to the therapy process. His aspiration is to finish the Delta Society/Pet Partners AAT Certification. In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors: including ball chasing, hiking and swimming.
